Why Equinox Global Freight?

Equinox Global Freight was established to address critical logistics industry developments that were arising – calls for client-orientated, service-focused logistics services.

Since the 1990’s, large importers and exporters have reverted to their core business, and key elements – such as information technology, recruitment, logistics, marketing and security – were outsourced to specialist enterprises.

While this is all very well in theory, those quick to take advantage of this market had no long-term relationship goals with clients so the standard of service was not what it could have been.

The rise of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in the 2000’s focused on just this aspect of commerce – client-focused relationships – and the logistics industry has been slow to catch on.  Equinox, however, is a niche operator focusing on seaport-orientated freight

haulage and its emphasis is on customer-based real-time communication and relationship building –providing a service that is consistently acceptable and of a high standard.

The emphasis here is on ‘consistency’ – many operators begin with high service levels until complacency sets in, prices increase, punctuality lessens, and less reliable transport is used.
